In response to a bill recently passed by the Alabama State Legislature that requires each of its districts to provide virtual courses for high school students by the 2016-2017 school year, Alabama districts are choosing Odysseyware (www.odysseyware.com).

“Odysseyware provides flexibility outside the structure of a school master schedule. We can offer classes anytime, even if they do not show up in our master schedule until the next school term. Additionally, Odysseyware’s credit recovery courses allow our students to quickly regain previously lost credits,” says Jeff McClure, director of alternative learning at Pike County (AL) Schools. “This level of flexibility allows Pike’s students to either rejoin their graduation cohorts or at the very least accelerate the anticipated graduation date.”
