BoomWriter Media Second Annual Writing Camp Launch
BoomWriter Media, Inc. (www.boomwriter.com) announced its second annual Online Writing Camps, enabling educators to earn additional income during the summer break. These virtual camps provide students opportunities to participate in five-day camp sessions in which they collaborate with their peer campers to write and publish a chapter book. Teachers run their own camps, selecting camp dates and flexible daily schedules. Web-based professional development will also provide teachers with strategies to help them better assist their campers.
Gaggle SpeakUp
Gaggle announced (www.gaggle.net/product/safetytipline) the public release of SpeakUp, a unique safety tipline for K-12 schools. It is conveniently integrated into school districts’ G Suite for Education accounts. Messages sent to SpeakUp result in an auto-reply message, explaining how the tipline can be used to report unsafe situations at a school and describes that real people are monitoring SpeakUp. Replies also include a dedicated phone number that students can use for text messages or phone calls.
