Hosted in Austin, Texas, the 2016 TCEA Annual Convention and Exposition was a week long edtech experience that included an exhibit floor of over 450 companies’ products and more than 900 industry expert and peer-led presentations on technology integration.
The products showcased this year are innovative, advanced, and proof that the edtech world has been paying attention to what schools need from technology.
These new technologies are highly engaging and innovative, and many were created to not only improve learning, but also simplify the installation process and make it easier for both teachers and students to integrate these technologies into the classroom.
Many software and hardware are device agnostic and included pre-installed courses, lesson plans and activities, helping teachers utilize these technologies in the classroom without always having to create their own content. Furthermore, interactive displays and presentation devices have improved resolution and image quality to lessen student fatigue and keep them engaged.
If you’re looking to increase interactivity in the classroom, interactive flat panels not only allow for interactivity, but also display high-quality images that boost readability and engagement. Promethean’s ActivPanel delivers full HD and 4K Ultra HD picture quality and is coupled with engaging interactive software. Promethean’s ActivInspire and ClassFlow software offer an abundance of tools and free resources for teachers to create and deliver interactive multimedia lessons and assessments, helping to enhance and differentiate instruction.
Knomadix is a digital platform that provides teachers with integrated learning tools for the classroom. Knomadix allows teachers create individualized, interactive and engaging lessons using existing static PDF and video resources, helping schools integrate older materials with a new digital teaching platform. The platform also provides teachers and students with instant feedback, granting them insight to student progress and helping teachers to individualize the learning experience for each student if needed.
